Just like I thought the song didn't show up at all unless I blacked out and missed it. Great song but it is a bit lame that they'd name it after a song and not even have the song in the episode. Now that doesn't mean this wasn't a great episode because it was and hello I think I might watch too much TV since I kept thinking about Buffy while watching this.If I was going to start training I wouldn't do it so early but Elena gets up at a time I don't even acknowledge to get some training. So Ric was like Buffy and Elena was Dawn since this reminded me of that episode where Buffy takes Dawn out for a night of patrolling. He said she wasn't strong enough to use that stake thingie on her wrist but she proved him wrong when she later stakes Stefan. Aw that was like a Wesley moment so I guess I was thinking about Buffy and Angel.Anyhoo Caroline decides to be positive even though Prank Night tanked. Oh she has her hands full with her boy Tyler who seems to be sired. And here all this time I thought sired meant the vamp who turned you but now it extends to an extremely rare thing that happens between a vampire and the person he turns which basically turns them into the vampire's bitch. Obviously this didn't happen when Katherine turned both Stefan and Damon. It didn't happen when Damon turned Caroline or hell Vic for that matter although it might have been too soon to tell with her.Bonnie of course is in a weird place since her boyfriend is seeing dead girlfriends and I still wonder why he doesn't see Jenna. Maybe this means he isn't thinking about her. For that matter why doesn't Ric see her since he's been dead a few times. Maybe the ring doesn't register those supernatural deaths as deaths which is why he can't see dead people too. I think I'm thinking too much which isn't good since I have a headache right now.Elena had a Buffy moment when she used a scarf to cover her neck. Yeah that made me think of the time that Dracula snacked on Buffy and she hid the bite with a scarf. Makes you wonder if someone wearing a scarf is hiding something. She mentions that it was a year ago that she met Stefan. That just made me confused. I had that moment thinking um isn't this season three? Yep I'm on the third diary for her so I was a  bit confused about that unless the first two seasons were consider a year with this being a year later. See I told you I think way too much.Rebecca shows up and she moves in with the guys. Sadly no shirtless Salvatores were seen but Tyler was briefly shirtless so at least one hot guy was shirtless. Stefan and Damon were just thrilled that she was there. At least her brother didn't stake her this time. Maybe Klaus was hoping that leaving Klaus Barbie behind would give him more of a headstart since I assume he figured Michael would take her out. Maybe I'm thinking too much again. I guess hanging out at the Salvatores bored Rebecca since she shows up at school too and seems to be Single White Vampiring Caroline.Elena isn't happy when Stefan shows up at school. Aw Ric came to her rescue. It was vampapalooza in history class. Now Rebecca's a cheerleader and she has her eyes on Tyler who did get some blood from her. Tyler has a few things to learn. The first rule of course would be not to go out with breakfast on your shirt. But at least he seems like he wants to beat this whole sire thing that makes him have warm and fuzzy feelings about Klaus. He wasn't cool with the plan to lock up Stefan so Damon knocked him out and Caroline took him home. Maybe a little Vampire Barbie action knocked some sense back into him.I do feel bad for poor Matt and his bitch of a sister took advantage of that. She told him that there was a way for her to come back. I thought it was an actual way to come back like Darla did and hell Angel came back too but this was more like she could travel wherever she wanted while still being a ghost. Matt does the spell but Jeremy is suspicious.  He goes out to Stoner Corner which just seems to be a quiet location with a van and pretends he doesn't see Vic. He tells Matt that he's looking for his lab partner. He's still talking to Anna which freaks Bonnie out.Bonnie ends up going to Matt but she's too late. Matt already did the spell since a witch was helping Vic out. I guess she was able to pierce the veil or something and once again I wonder why Anna wasn't reunited with her mom after all Pearl did die the same night as her. Maybe it's different for vampires. Vic only mentions after about the deal she made with the witch and Anna did mention that. I was believing her over Vic since that girl was just a mess when she was alive which means she's a mess while she's dead. Vic casually announces that she's going to kill Elena like she was just going out to get her nails done. See Anna's right about the darkness around her.Bonnie wasn't in on the plan that Elena had since she didn't want Bonnie hurt. She knew that Stefan wouldn't hurt her even though he's broken right now. Too bad he isn't wearing leather pants. Damn I loved those leather pants that Angelus wore. There I am getting distracted again. So Elena goes to a party and gets drunk. She has Damon keep Rebecca busy and he does with marshmallows although it doesn't really work because she figures out that he's distracting her so she ends up staking him. Elena who had some liquid courage goes up on the bleachers. She ends up deliberately falling over since she knows that Stefan will catch her. Things went according to plan and Ric was able to shoot him with vervain. But they had no idea that Vic was out to kill Elena. She ends up setting a fire just after Stefan and Elena were in the car. She even took care of the locks so Elena couldn't get out. Stupid safety glass. Ric wasn't able to break the window so Elena was able to get Stefan to kick out the door. Instead of leaving him she dragged him out and oops another car bites the dust. So much for the plan to lock Stefan up since that never happens. Stefan's mean to Elena and calls her pathetic because she isn't giving up on him and she stakes him. Yep that was shades of Buffy and Angelus when they were in the mall and she kicked him in the crotch because she couldn't stake him. In this case Elena did and showed that she was strong enough to use that stake thingie. Yep that's the technical term for it. No not really but it could be.Luckily Bonnie is able to do a spell to deal with the Vic sitch and poor Matt realizes that this isn't right. I don't think we'll be seeing her again but you never know. The same might go for Anna too. Matt says goodbye to her and I just want to give the poor guy a hug. I wonder if Jeremy and Bonnie are going to make it since I see some potential adorableness between Matt and Bonnie that I had seen in season one.Katherine is trying to wake up Michael without any luck. She finally grabs a guy at the cemetery and that does wake him up but he tells her to stop. I guess he's given up blood for lent. That make me think he feeds on vampire blood and hello I was right since he decided to snack on Katherine after she took the chains off him. I am a bit confused about this whole vampire vampire hunter thing. Sure this isn't the first time I've seen this since there's Angel and Spike who did the vampire hunting thing. Isn't he one of the siblings? Oh I don't know why I bothered to ask a question that will never get answered because I have the super power of asking questions that never get answered which frankly annoys the hell out of me.http://moonlightdwelling.com
