Does AZO Yeast Work To Treat Yeast Infections? - 5 Good Ways To Treat And Get Rid Of A Yeast Infection

I believe I have a yeast infection; I have never had one before. I have had it for about 5 or 6 days. I just bought the azo yeast tablets last night and I have now taken three pills but do not feel any better. Is this something I should go to the doctor for or will this go away on its own? And does anyone know how long before these pills start to relieve the symptoms?

The above question was asked to us by this yeast infection patient. I will provide and answer to it so it can help all other people who have this infection and want to get rid of it.

You need an anti fungal medication to get rid yeast infections. Better to treat the infection instead of trying to wait it out. If you don't want to go to the doctor, get an over the counter treatment like Monistat 3 or 7. These are more effective than the AZO Yeast tablets. Otherwise, see your doctor to get diagnosed. They will then prescribe you an anti fungal medication for the infection.

Antibiotics actually cause yeast infections, not cure them. They cause an imbalance of the bacteria in your vagina by killing off the good as well as the targeted bad bacteria.

Personally, I eat yogurt every day to help prevent them (antibiotics are only one cause). But when I actually have one there are some OTCs, like Monistat that work really well. Fruits and veggies ALOT!

Also you should try injecting plain yogurt and also when you go to the doctor, ask her if you can be prescribed on Gynezol-1 or Terazol 7 day. I've taken Diflucan before and it sometimes takes 2 Diflucans to get rid of yeast. Also, garlic and lactobacillus pills usually will help. The yogurt remedy is almost a myth. Even though it helps, I won't swear by it! So a good way to put it will be like this: Yes it helps but not too much! Try at least 3 times a day. Drink a lot of water and wear 100% cotton underwear.

As already said, a good way to treat and get rid of a yeast infection is plain yogurt. You can use a tampon to get it up there. My sister swears by this but this treatment option does not work for everyone. Acidophilis (sp?) is also supposed to work well. You can get this at any health food store or GNC or something.

Cranberry juice also has some kind of good effect on Candida, and is fabulous for the bladder. Vinegar douches are a good idea if your problem is only monthly. Make yogurt a lifelong habit. Also, supplement with acidophilus capsules, following instructions on the bottle. Any visible yeast on the exterior can be dealt with plain old Betadyne painted on with a Qtip; stops the itching! Avoid the sugary or high carb foods that feed the yeast. You should be much more comfortable now!

However, there's a better, faster and more effective way to treat yeast infections! This is a secret method that actually worked for me. I have recommended this method to so many of my friends and loved ones and they all ended up treating their yeast infections for good! The method I'm talking about is outlined with step-by-step instructions in Linda Allen's Yeast Infection No More Program. Do you want to completely treat your yeast infection and stop if from ever returning?
